Job Description
We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a resourceful Tendering Engineer (Civil) to join a top qualified and knowledgeable Tendering Team in our Athens Office.
Role summary:
As a member of the Tendering team you will support the development of proposals and tenders for international projects. You will have the opportunity to accelerate knowledge and experience through exposure and collaboration with high performing multidisciplinary teams.
What you will need to do:
- Analyse tender specifications drawings and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Prepare materials and subcontract enquiries.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that comprehensive and consistent quotations are received.
- Evaluate materials and subcontracts quotations.
- Develop detailed cost estimates including both direct and general costs.
- Prepare risk and opportunity analysis.
- Commercial engineering: prepare selling price analyses and price estimates
- Prepare basic cash flow scenarios.
- Prepare and present presentations for internal (within company) and external (partners /clients) purposes.
- Prepare interfacing plans DORs BOQ splits and other documents related to JVs and Consortia.
Qualifications :
- BSc / MSc in Civil Engineering
- Four (4) to six (6) years of work experience within a construction contractor
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- Commercial/ business thinking
- Excellent English command (written and oral) of the English language
- Knowledge of any project management tool is desirable.
- Computer literacy including use of MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Access)
