Job Description
Overview
The Laravel Developer plays a pivotal role in our organizations technology team. As a key member the developer is responsible for designing implementing and maintaining highperformance web applications using the Laravel framework. This position requires a detailed understanding of PHP and web technologies as well as the ability to manage the full software development lifecycle. The developer will collaborate closely with frontend developers and other team members to create scalable robust applications that meet user requirements and industry standards. In today s fastpaced technology landscape a skilled Laravel Developer is essential to provide innovative solutions streamline processes and enhance user experience. Ultimately this role is crucial for ensuring that our products are functional efficient and aligned with the companys business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using the Laravel framework.
- Write clean efficient and reusable PHP code following best practices.
- Design and build RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend technologies.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to enhance application functionality.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Debug and resolve technical issues in existing applications.
- Implement security measures to protect applications and data.
- Create and manage database schemas ensuring optimal data storage.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for applications.
- Participate in agile development processes including sprints and standups.
- Conduct unit testing and integration testing for quality assurance.
- Work closely with the DevOps team to manage deployment processes.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior developers.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in web development with a focus on PHP and Laravel.
- Strong understanding of objectoriented programming (OOP) principles.
- Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML CSS and JavaScript.
- Proficient in database management using MySQL or similar databases.
- Familiarity with version control systems preferably Git.
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience working in agile development environments.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience using testing frameworks such as PHPUnit.
- Familiarity with other backend frameworks is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Willingness to learn new technologies as needed.
- Previous experience in a fastpaced startup environment is a plus.
