We are seeking an enthusiastic intern to join the Field Application Engineering team at Renesas Electronics in San Diego California . The internships primary focus will be on developing system level solutions using Renesas MCU Connectivity Analog and Power technologies. You will work with different types of architectures and explore their advantages in realworld applications. This internship offers a pathway to a career as an Associate Field Applications Engineer at Renesas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture Exploration: Work with multiple architectures including:
- Fully programmable mixedsignal ICs
- MCUs interfacing with power discrete such as gate drivers and MOSFETs
- System Evaluation and Testing: Implement algorithms and evaluate their performance (e.g. power efficiency controllability accuracy) and system cost.
- Hardware Integration: Optimize the integration of the control algorithms with Renesas solutions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Generate technical reports on the outcomes of tests and provide insights into the strengths and challenges of each architecture.
Qualifications :
Educational Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Good understanding of analog electronics and power management principles.
- Experience or coursework in embedded systems MCUs and programmable mixedsignal ICs.
- Curiositydriven and a desire to understand how different applications work.
- Eagerness to experiment with different hardware and software configurations to find optimal solutions.
- Strong problemsolving skills and a handson approach to engineering challenges.
