Job Description
Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with musculoskeletal issues.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including Xrays and MRIs.
- Develop personalized treatment plans from conservative management to surgical interventions.
- Perform various orthopedic surgeries including joint replacements arthroscopy and fracture repair.
- Monitor patients postoperative recovery and manage complications as needed.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists and rehabilitation specialists to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients on conditions treatment options and rehabilitation processes.
- Stay updated on advancements in orthopedic surgery and incorporate best practices.
- Participate in clinical research to contribute to advancements in orthopedic care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Attend and contribute in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Develop guidelines for best practices in orthopedic surgery and patient care.
- Contribute to the training and mentoring of junior orthopedic staff.
- Engage in community outreach programs to promote orthopedic health education.
- Provide emergency care for acute orthopedic injuries.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MBBS) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an orthopedic surgery residency program.
- DNB in Orthopedics or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Significant experience in performing a wide range of orthopedic surgeries.
- Board certification in orthopedics is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy and pathology.
- Proficient in interpreting diagnostic imaging.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and their families.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
- Demonstrated experience in patientcentered care.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and make critical decisions.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Compassionate attitude towards patients and their needs.
- Proven ability to conduct clinical research and publish findings.
