Job Description

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is driven to make lifechanging impacts on the lives of NDIS participants living in the ACT along with wanting to work for an organisation which prides itself on clinical excellence.

About the role

On a daily basis you will be:

  • Managing an allocated caseload and providing evidencebased therapeutic interventions to help participants get more out of life
  • Assessing participants emotional psychological cognitive developmental and physical level of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
  • Interpreting findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
  • Providing support and advice on adaptations to the environment including home school work and residential facilities
  • Recommending provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and to promote independence

About you

  • A passion for assisting vulnerable members of the local community in reaching their goals
  • Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • An interest in collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Drivers licence and access to a reliable vehicle

Qualifications :

 

  • Degree qualified Occupational Therapist
  • Current full registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
