About the role
On a daily basis you will be:
- Managing an allocated caseload and providing evidencebased therapeutic interventions to help participants get more out of life
- Assessing participants emotional psychological cognitive developmental and physical level of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
- Interpreting findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
- Providing support and advice on adaptations to the environment including home school work and residential facilities
- Recommending provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and to promote independence
About you
- A passion for assisting vulnerable members of the local community in reaching their goals
- Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- An interest in collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Drivers licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Qualifications :
- Degree qualified Occupational Therapist
- Current full registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
