Job Description
The Project Manager manages a diverse range of technical Information Technology (IT) projects. The management of projects typically (but not exclusively) involving the development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business needs acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills within agreed parameters of cost timescales and quality.
The role is also responsible for the planning management and delivery of new capabilities and system enhancements and delivering these in accordance with the approved project scope and consistent with Pilmicos Project Management Methodology (PPMM). Within the SFIA profile the Project Manager must demonstrate Level 4 responsibilities i.e. Enable on the competencies outlined.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree with at least 4 years experof ience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Professional membership or certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is required
- Proven experience as a project manager for IT projects and has comprehensive knowledge of relevant development lifecycles
- Able to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to relay complex technical issues to a nontechnical audience in an engaging and informative manner
- Proven analytical problproblemsolving design skills able to visualize large complex situations and break them into component parts to drive appropriate actions
- Working knowledge of project management software (e.g. MS Project Project Server Project Libre Smartsheet)
- Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods with indepth knowledge of at least one methodology (e.g. PMBOK PRINCE2 Agile)
