Overview
The position of MCh Oncologist Surgeon Consultant is integral to the healthcare system in Ajmer Rajasthan. The consultant will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various types of cancers providing surgical interventions and overseeing patient care to improve outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive consultations and evaluations of patients with oncological conditions.
- Perform complex surgical procedures related to cancer treatment.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care for patients.
- Collaborate with oncologists radiologists and other specialists for an integrated approach.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and techniques in oncological surgery.
- Educate patients and their families about surgical options and recovery processes.
- Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records.
- Participate in tumor board meetings to discuss challenging cases.
- Assist in clinical research initiatives aimed at improving cancer care.
- Train and mentor junior surgical staff and residents.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
- Manage surgical inventory and ensure all equipment is properly maintained.
- Promote community awareness regarding cancer prevention and treatment options.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution.
- Master of Chirurgical (MCh) in Surgical Oncology or equivalent.
- Valid medical license to practice in Rajasthan.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in surgical oncology.
- Strong knowledge of cancer biology and treatment methodologies.
- Proficient in advanced surgical techniques related to oncology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
- Research experience in oncology is an advantage.
