Overview
The SAP IS OIL Consultant plays a pivotal role in the implementation and management of SAP solutions tailored specifically for the oil and gas industry. This position is crucial for organizations seeking to optimize their operations improve efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP IS OIL solutions.
- Configure SAP modules specific to oil and gas operations.
- Lead project implementations from conception through to completion.
- Develop and document functional specifications.
- Provide training and support to endusers on SAP systems.
- Perform system testing and validation to ensure functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any SAPrelated issues.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align SAP solutions with business processes.
- Create and maintain detailed project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business processes.
- Monitor system performance and suggest necessary enhancements.
- Engage in system upgrades and patch management.
- Work with crossfunctional teams to ensure project success.
- Stay updated on industry trends and SAP innovations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as an SAP IS OIL Consultant.
- Indepth knowledge of oil and gas industry processes.
- Certification in SAP IS OIL is preferred.
- Experience with SAP modules relevant to the oil sector.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a teamoriented environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the oil industry.
- Understanding of data management and reporting tools.
- Experience with system integration is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel for project implementations.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies is beneficial.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
