Overview
The Salesforce Communications Cloud Developer plays a crucial role in enhancing communication processes within an organization by leveraging the Salesforce platform. This position involves designing developing and implementing effective communication solutions that meet user needs and improve overall service delivery. As a key member of the development team the Developer interfaces with various stakeholders including product managers UX designers and other developers to ensure that the solutions developed align with business objectives. The impact of this role extends beyond technical development; it influences user engagement and satisfaction by providing robust efficient and userfriendly communication tools. The COVID19 pandemic has further highlighted the importance of effective digital communication making this role even more critical as businesses transition to a more digitallydriven operational model. In this capacity the Salesforce Communications Cloud Developer will leverage their technical skills and Salesforce platform knowledge to contribute to a progressive and innovative working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Salesforce Communications Cloud applications.
- Integrate APIs to enhance application functionality.
- Collaborate with endusers to gather requirements and develop solutions.
- Design userfriendly interfaces for effective communication tools.
- Implement data management best practices to ensure consistent data quality.
- Participate in project planning and sprint review sessions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Salesforce application.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure solution quality.
- Provide technical support and training to endusers as needed.
- Stay updated with Salesforce developments and best practices.
- Work with Agile teams to enhance product development processes.
- Create documentation for users and technical guides for future reference.
- Conduct peer reviews and assist in code reviews to enhance team productivity.
- Engage in continuous learning to enhance technical skills.
- Contribute to the overall strategic direction of communication solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Salesforce development.
- Proficient in JavaScript and Visualforce.
- Experience with Salesforce Lightning components.
- Strong understanding of API integration concepts.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and deployment strategies.
- Previous experience with Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problemsolving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with data management and reporting tools.
- Handson experience in full Salesforce development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with best practices for user experience design.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g. Salesforce Developer or Platform App Builder) preferred.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks.
