Nurse (ANM/GNM) Job Description
Overview
The Nurse (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife / General Nursing Midwifery) is a vital member of the healthcare team responsible for delivering highquality nursing care to patients across various settings. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities from direct patient care to administrative tasks. Nurses play a crucial role in assessing patient needs developing care plans and ensuring that patients receive appropriate treatment and support throughout their healthcare journey. Furthermore they are essential in health education and promotion helping patients and families understand health issues treatment options and general wellness. In addition the Nurse will work closely with doctors other nurses and health professionals to coordinate care maintain accurate health records and adhere to established protocols and regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including administering medications monitoring vitals and performing procedures.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify healthcare needs and concerns.
- Develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist in diagnostic tests and procedures under the supervision of physicians.
- Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families about health management treatments and medications.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
- Support patients in performing daily living activities and promote rehabilitation.
- Administer first aid and CPR in emergencies.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in professional development activities and continuing education.
- Assist in training and mentoring new nursing staff and students.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure a sterile environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid ANM or GNM nursing diploma from an accredited institution.
- Current nursing license issued by the relevant regulatory authority.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and nursing procedures.
- Strong understanding of patient care practices and protocols.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
