Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Cut bend and shape metal materials using various tools and machines.
• Assemble and weld components following safety protocols and quality standards.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Collaborate with other team members in the fabrication process.
• Maintain tools and equipment in optimal working condition.
• Adhere to safety practices and protocols at all times on the job site.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery and tools.
• Document and report any discrepancies or quality issues in materials.
• Organize and manage work areas for efficiency and safety.
• Participate in training and skill development opportunities.
• Assist in managing inventory of materials and supplies.
• Work efficiently within deadlines while maintaining quality craftsmanship.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to metal fabrication.
• Provide support for onsite operations and administrative tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
• Completion of a welding or metalworking apprenticeship program is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Barbender or similar role in metal fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metal properties.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices within the industry.
• Ability to read and understand technical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with various metalworking tools and equipment.
• Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of inventory management systems.
• Detailoriented mindset with a focus on quality control.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work flexible hours including overtime when needed.
• Strong problemsolving capabilities to address immediate challenges.
• Commitment to ongoing training and professional growth.
• Valid drivers license may be required based on location.
