We are currently looking for experienced Senior Inspectors to work Full Time on a multiyear projects within a 90 minute radius of our Woodbridge head office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead field inspections for complex infrastructure projects ensuring compliance with design specifications safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain a pivotal role in project coordination balancing onsite inspection duties with officebased administrative responsibilities.
- Guide junior inspectors fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Prepare and review detailed progress reports ensuring accurate documentation and timely submission to clients.
- Act as a liaison between contractors stakeholders and Egis leadership addressing challenges proactively.
- Oversee project milestones identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful outcomes.
- Support contract administration by verifying quantities reviewing schedules and ensuring prompt payment compliance.
Qualifications :
- University degree or College diploma in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- 5 years experience in structural watermain asphalt and/or grade inspection on road and/or bridge construction projects;
- Demonstrated experience as a Construction Inspector on at least two (2) previous projects;
- Registered as EIT if applicable or P. Eng. with the PEO or OACETT designation as rcsi; or ability to obtain this designation within 6 months
- Excellent communication problem solving and attention to detail skills.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Possess a valid drivers license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and travel to sire locations within the area.
