DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise Construction Inspectors providing mentorship and oversight to ensure project goals are met.
- Interpret contract drawings specifications and standards providing guidance to stakeholders and team members.
- Conduct periodic inspections to verify compliance with project requirements and safety protocols.
- Prepare and manage progress reports payment certifications and claims ensuring transparency and accuracy.
- Review and analyze contractor schedules providing insights to keep projects on track.
- Actively resolve challenges recommend mitigation strategies and oversee adjustments to project plans as needed.
- Foster compliance with health safety and environmental regulations across all phases of the project.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- University degree or College diploma in Civil Engineering;
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications;
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook) familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D would be considered an asset;
- Excellent communication problem solving and attention to detail skills;
- Demonstrated willingness to learn;
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
- Possess a valid drivers license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance;
- Ability to work flexible schedules and travel to site locations within the area;
EXPERIENCE
- Registered as P. Eng. with PEO or rcca with OACETT;
- Completion of MTO T131 Advanced Claims Dispute Resolution course;
- Demonstrated experience as a Contract Administrator Resident Engineer Quantity Surveyor or Assistant supporting these roles on at least two (2) previous projects;
- 5 years experience in structural watermain asphalt and/or grade construction on road and/or bridge construction projects.
