Job Description
you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and organized handling of materials and equipment required for the construction and operation of the solar project. Your responsibilities will include inventory management procurement coordination and maintaining accurate records of all materials onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
Establish and maintain an organized inventory system for all materials equipment and spare parts on the project site.
Conduct regular stock assessments and reconcile inventory records to ensure accuracy.
2. Procurement Coordination:
Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and accurate ordering of materials and equipment.
Verify incoming shipments and manage the receiving process including inspection and documentation.
3. Material Handling:
Coordinate the proper handling storage and distribution of materials onsite.
Implement safety protocols for the handling and transportation of materials.
4. Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all materials received issued and consumed onsite.
Generate regular reports on inventory levels consumption rates and procurement status.
5. Vendor Management:
Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues related to quality or delivery schedules.
Negotiate favorable terms with vendors to optimize procurement costs.
6. Coordination with Construction Teams:
Collaborate with construction and project management teams to understand material requirements for various project phases.
Ensure that materials are available when needed to avoid project delays.
7. Quality Control:
Implement and oversee quality control measures for incoming materials to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Conduct periodic inspections to identify and address any quality issues.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Management or a related field.
Proven experience in stores management preferably in the construction or renewable energy sector.
Familiarity with inventory management software and tools.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
