Job Description
- Oversee the maintenance repair and lifecycle management of locomotives passenger cars and freight wagons to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Provide expert technical support for all rolling stock engineering projects including design commissioning testing and troubleshooting of trains and related equipment.
- Ensure adherence to international and local standards safety protocols and regulations in all rolling stock engineering activities.
- Lead and manage projects for upgrading and modernizing rolling stock fleets coordinating with suppliers contractors and inhouse teams.
- Evaluate and implement solutions to improve the performance and reliability of rolling stock including fuel efficiency wear reduction and passenger comfort.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to rolling stock maintenance repair procedures and technical specifications.
- Work closely with other engineering teams including civil electrical and signaling engineers to ensure seamless integration of rolling stock with the broader rail infrastructure.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to rolling stock operations including safety risks technical challenges and operational disruptions.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in rolling stock engineering with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role within the railway sector.
- Indepth knowledge of the rolling stock technology and local regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage largescale engineering projects including budgeting resource allocation and timeline management.
- Native Arabic speaker and fluent in English.
- Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
