Join our Quantitative Strategies team in Lisbon
Spinnaker FX is looking for an exceptional technical operations specialist to join our elite trading systems operations group. The engineer will join a global team that provides realtime support for the firms proprietary trading systems and related trading infrastructure supporting several of the firms wellestablished systematic and fundamental strategies.
Tasks
What youll do daytoday
The role covers a wide range of responsibilities including discovering and resolving production issues developing frontoffice reports communicating with counterparties implementing new trading strategies and functionalities designing and documenting operating procedures developing and maintaining software infrastructure and coordinating with other IT groups around releases and upgrades. The position involves close interaction with developers quants and traders as well as coordination with the remote support team.
Requirements
Who were looking for
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a Windows Server environment. This person will possess keen software debugging skills excellent communication skills a careful attention to detail prioritisation skills and the determination to identify the source of problems and bring them to resolution.
Previous experience in technical operations dev ops or site reliability engineer roles as well as a degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline are preferable but not compulsory. A basic understanding of probability and statistics will also be beneficial.
