Job Description
Overview: The MD DNB General Medicine Consultant plays a critical role in the healthcare ecosystem of Jodhpur Rajasthan. This position entails providing comprehensive medical care to patients including diagnosis treatment and continuous followup. Working in collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals the consultant is responsible for handling a broad spectrum of illnesses and health issues ranging from acute to chronic conditions. The consultant will be responsible for enhancing patient outcomes through evidencebased practices and contributing to the development of protocols and guidelines within the institution. The successful candidate will possess strong clinical skills a commitment to patientcentered care and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment. This role is fundamental in ensuring high standards of medical care in the community addressing health disparities and promoting preventive health measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough medical assessments of patients to determine health needs.
- Diagnose and manage a variety of medical conditions in adults.
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on best practices.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with specialists and healthcare teams for comprehensive patient management.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to enhance the quality of care.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and preventive strategies.
- Participate in case discussions and interdisciplinary meetings.
- Keep accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols and standards.
- Provide outpatient and inpatient care in a variety of settings.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors and medical staff.
- Engage in continuous medical education and professional development.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge on advancements in general medicine.
Required Qualifications:
- MD or DNB in General Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical license to practice in Rajasthan.
- Minimum of 35 years of relevant clinical experience.
- Strong knowledge of medical protocols and treatment guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in participating in healthcare quality improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills.
- Dedication to professional and personal growth in the field of medicine.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
- Basic life support and advanced cardiac life support certification preferred.
- Willingness to participate in oncall duties if required.
- Compassionate and patientcentered approach to care.
- Commitment to community health improvement.
- Proficiency in local languages is a plus.
