Job Description
SAP PPQM ConsultantImmediate JoinersKolkota / Mumbai
We are looking for an experienced SAP PPQM Consultant to lead the implementation and
optimization of the SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) modules in
our iron ore mining operations.
This position involves working closely with operations quality assurance and IT teams to ensure the e icient planning scheduling and monitoring of production processes while also maintaining highquality standards for the mined ore and related processes. The role will support the company s SAP S/4HANA system and ensure that best practices in production and quality management are integrated seamlessly into daily operations.
Qualification: Bachelor s degree in Engineering Operations.
- 8 years of experience as an SAP PP and QM Consultant with experience in the mining.
- Extensive handson experience with SAP S/4HANA PP and SAP QM modules including
- integration with MM PM and CO modules.
- Indepth understanding of iron ore mining processes including extraction crushing beneciation and logistics.
- Strong experience with MRP production orders inspection planning and quality control processes.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori for enhanced user interface and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of production efficiency and cost optimization techniques.
- Understanding of ISO quality standards and other regulatory requirements in mining.
Production Planning (PP):
- Lead the design configuration and deployment of the SAP Production Planning (PP) module tailored to the specific needs of the iron ore mining industry.
- Configure demand management material requirement planning (MRP) and capacity planning to align production schedules with operational and business goals.
- Develop production master data such as Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Routings ensuring all inputs are optimized for mining processes.
- Set up and manage production orders and process orders ensuring that production activities including mining ore processing and logistics are properly planned and executed.
- Integrate PP with PM (Plant Maintenance) to ensure seamless planning of mining equipment availability preventive maintenance and production schedules.
Quality Management (QM):
- Design and implement the SAP Quality Management (QM) module to maintain and improve the quality of iron ore ensuring compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
- Configure quality inspection processes including inprocess quality checks during
- mining and processing as well as final product inspections before shipment.
- Set up and manage quality notifications inspection lots and defect analysis to ensure early detection and resolution of quality issues.
- Integrate QM with PP and MM (Materials Management) to ensure that quality standards are met at all stages of production and material procurement.
- Ensure accurate quality data recording for analysis and continuous improvement of mining and processing activities.
SAP S/4HANA Integration:
- Ensure that PP and QM modules are fully integrated with other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management) PM (Plant Maintenance) and CO (Controlling) to streamline production and quality management workflows.
- Support production costing and variance analysis in collaboration with the Controlling (CO) team to track actual production costs and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
Process Optimization:
- Work with operations and quality teams to identify areas for improvement in production and quality management providing solutions using SAP functionalities.
- Implement best practices for efficient production planning and quality assurance in mining operations considering realtime data and operational constraints.
- Ensure proper handling of mining productionspecific challenges such as variability in ore quality and equipment downtime by configuring flexible production and quality processes.
Training and Support:
- Provide training to endusers and key stakeholders in the operations and quality departments on the PP and QM functionalities.
- Offer ongoing postgolive support for any issues related to production planning
- scheduling and quality management ensuring continuous optimization of SAP
- systems.
