Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Developer with expertise in OData services and HANA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ABAP programming in the SAP ecosystem experience in developing OData services for SAP Fiori applications and a solid background in SAP HANA database technologies. You will be responsible for designing implementing and optimizing custom developments and data models ensuring seamless integration with SAP systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- SAP ABAP Development:
- Develop and enhance ABAPbased custom reports interfaces forms and workflows.
- Perform debugging troubleshooting and optimization of existing ABAP code.
- Write efficient reusable and maintainable code in ABAP in accordance with SAP best practices.
- Implement custom logic for data processing and business logic as per client requirements.
- OData Services Development:
- Design implement and optimize OData services for SAP Fiori applications.
- Develop OData service models in ABAP ensuring the correct data is exposed via OData protocols.
- Perform performance tuning for OData services to ensure fast response times.
- Integrate OData services with SAP UI5 applications and Fiori FrontEnd Servers.
- SAP HANA Development:
- Develop and optimize HANA database models (including views tables and procedures) for performance.
- Leverage SAP HANAs inmemory capabilities to improve data processing and query performance.
- Work closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into HANA views and ABAPbased developments.
- Write SQLScript for optimized database logic and integrate it with ABAP programs.
- Integration & Optimization:
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure smooth data flow and integration across various SAP modules.
- Optimize data models queries and ABAP code for high performance and scalability.
- Support data migration activities ensuring data consistency and accuracy in SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Testing and Troubleshooting:
- Unit testing debugging and performance analysis for ABAP programs and OData services.
- Work with SAP Solution Manager or other testing tools to ensure code quality and functionality.
- Documentation & Support:
- Provide detailed documentation for custom developments including code comments and user manuals.
- Provide technical support and guidance to endusers and other developers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 37 years of handson experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong experience with SAP HANA including HANA Studio HANA views SQLScript and performance optimization.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining OData services in SAP ABAP.
- Experience in working with SAP S/4HANA SAP Fiori and SAP Cloud Platform is a plus.
- Familiarity with SAP Gateway and the OData protocol.
- Technical Skills:
- ABAP: Proficiency in ABAP including classic reports ALV BAPIs IDocs and user exits.
- SAP HANA: Strong experience in developing and optimizing HANA views SQLScript and understanding of the HANA database architecture.
- OData: Deep understanding of OData concepts service development and integration with Fiori applications.
- SAP NetWeaver Gateway: Experience with SAP Gateway configuration and deployment for OData services.
- UI5/Fiori Integration: Understanding of how ABAP backend services integrate with SAP Fiori and UI5 applications.
- Database Optimization: Knowledge of performance tuning techniques for both ABAP code and HANA databases.
- Additional Skills:
- Good understanding of SAP Fiori SAP S/4HANA and cloudbased applications.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
