What you will be doing:
This role will support leaders and colleagues in all elements of the Talent Journey including: Employer Branding Community Relations Talent Selection Colleague Engagement Career Management Diversity Equity & Inclusion Policies & Procedures Union Law Corporate Social Responsibility with the objective of providing business support to all departments through collaboration and coaching.
- Promote positivity and be a role model for supporting the brand hotel and department.
- Ensure that all team members feel trusted and valued for their contribution.
- Execute and implement hotel policies that ensure compliance fairness and consistency.
- Oversee and Manage the day to day recruitment/turnover administration and coordination of all activities within the Talent & Culture Department including: implement all Fairmont recruitment policies and operating practices; ensure all financial activity meet the budget/forecast recruitment budget;
- Promote the Fairmont Orchid through utilization of social media channels.
- Foster and maintain relationships with external recruiting resources
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- 35 years of Human Resources Leadership Experience in a hospitality setting;
- Previous experience in unionized environment required;
- Reading writing and oral proficiency in English;
- Previous experience in Talent Acquisition and Union a strong asset;
- SelfConfident and able to communicate easily with all levels of an organization from line colleagues to Executives;
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications;
- University/College degree in a related discipline preferred;
- Strong organizational and leadership skills;
- Highly responsible & reliable with strong sense of urgency;
- Resourceful and ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Uptodate on HR trends and practices in the market;
- Ability to create a community which supports a collaborative environment;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of talent;
- Excellent organization and administrative skills Ability to multitask;
- Multicultural awareness and able to work with communities and people from diverse backgrounds;
- Flexible able to embrace and respond to change;
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with strong initiative;
