Job Description
This is a great role to join the Wolverhampton stores team the purpose of this role is to be responsible for the operation of the internal supply chain operation onsite.
This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday from 08:00 till 16:00.
- Operation of the consumable and subsample delivery process to agreed standards.
- Operation of waste collection process to agreed standards.
- Safe operation and organisation of the hazardous waste stores.
- Where necessary picking items from stores and updating stock records systems.
- Contribute to the review and implementation of standard operating procedures and business processes to ensure smooth operation of the supply chain.
- Coverage for the internal supply chain team leader during any absences.
- Updating Consumables Inventory Tracker daily.
- Good 5S Standards across all areas within the scope of the Stores department.
- Adhering to all SSOW procedures at all times.
- Provide updates and work with suppliers internal customers and team members to resolve any supply issues or customer problems.
- Assist in collection of data for key performance indicators.
- Regular review of batch sizes delivery lot sizes and leadtimes to minimize inventory and deliver the right quantity when needed.
- Assist with daily despatch of courier consignments.
- Cooperate with the investigation and resolution of customer issues.
- Comply with all relevant Health Safety and Security Regulations.
- To partake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the company standard.
Qualifications :
- Good laboratory skills and practices.
- Enthusiasm energy and a driven outlook.
- Supply Chain and production experience.
- Lean production principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
