Make your mark as Manager Knowledge Management Team within our Fleet Management / Nautical Department. In this role you are the connecting force between the fleet teams DTED (Design Tendering & Engineering Department) and the vessels. Based on knowledge and skills you guide and coach the Knowledge Management Team a small team located in Papendrecht and Abu Dhabi developing and implementing improvements and (cost) saving innovations for the vessels.
Current topics the team is working on are:
- Wear & Tear Management together with DTED proof and clarify the relationship between wear of the sandbearing parts on board and the associated costs.
- Emission reduction the aim is to reduce emissions in 2030 by 10% compared to 2023 and to be climate neutral in 2050.
- Implementation of a new repair & maintenance system managing the competence center (cooperation between IT and Fleet Management) to assist the users in the transition and implement long term optimization requires a lot of attention.
You are a conversation partner and connecting factor between all stakeholders willing to listen and understand all points of view.
Your responsibilities:
- The planning coordination and execution of activities processes and procedures
- Responsible for the efficient distribution of work and availability of resources
- Supervision and reporting on progress and quality of work and results
- Identify improvements for own team and responsible for the execution of improvement proposals
- Performance appraisals and continuous development of direct reports
- Ensure compliance with the companys guidelines processes and procedures (leading by example)
- You are the goto person when it comes to sharing knowledge on very specific topics like wear and tear fuels of today and the future
- You have a vision on longterm asset management.
Your qualities:
You can make a difference as Manager Knowledge Management Team if you have:
- A finished Higher Professional education (HBO) or at least working and thinking level
- Knowledge of and affinity with the maritime dredging industry
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Willingness to travel a few times a year

- Your team: You work as a Manager Knowledge Management Team in the business unit Dredging. In this team there are currently 6 members. You will report to the Manager Nautical department Edgar van Oers.
- Where you will work: You will be based in our head office in Papendrecht. In consultation with your manager and your team you can work partly from home.
