Job Description
The C ram case management software (v7.0.1.2) is integral to various program areas within the Ministry of Labour Immigration Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) Employment & Training Division s Employment Ontario Information System (EOIS) platform providing frontline caseworkers with access to a contemporary case management system. Currently the backend database for most EOIS applications is supported by Oracle 12c.
To enhance the efficiency security and overall maintainability of the system ministry is initiating the C ram and Oracle upgrade projects and requires servicers of a seasoned Oracle Application DBA.
This strategic endeavour must be to upgrade the existing C ram platform and Oracle Database version which is approaching the end of its support to the latest versions. As part of this exercise to support the latest middleware WebSphere will also be upgraded.
The key deliverable and skillsets required:
- An experience Oracle Database Administrator including Oracle RDBMS Data Guard Golden Gate Automatic Storage Management (ASM) Oracle Vault Oracle Security/Encryption and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) on RedHat Linux Enterprise.
- Experience with installing and testing new versions i.e. upgrading from Oracle 12c version of 19c.
- Working knowledge of features such as Oracle Multitenant option Oracle Active Data Guard Far Sync inmemory database RMAN backup/recovery failover data masking security and new data types.
- Experience with install patch and maintenance of all Oracle software
- Experience with performance tuning all Oracle instance components including SQL and PL/SQL for application databases.
- Handson Experience in Azure Cloud including VM Storage Network Security Key Vault Backup/Recovery
- Experience with troubleshooting problem solving performance tuning infrastructure application and data related issues.
- Strong leadership and Ability to communicate regularly with project and operational teams.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
Requirements
Must Haves:
- 10 years experience Oracle Database Administrator including Oracle RDBMS Data Guard Automatic Storage Management (ASM) Oracle Vault Oracle Security/Encryption and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) on RedHat Linux Enterprise.
- 2 years of experience with Oracle Golden Gate
- Experience with installing and testing new versions i.e. upgrading from Oracle 12c version of 19c.
- Handson Experience in Azure Cloud
- 10 years experience Oracle Database Administrator including Oracle RDBMS Data Guard Automatic Storage Management (ASM) Oracle Vault Oracle Security/Encryption and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) on RedHat Linux Enterprise.
- 2 years of experience with Oracle Golden Gate
- Experience with installing and testing new versions i.e. upgrading from Oracle 12c version of 19c.
- Working knowledge of features such as Oracle Multitenant option Oracle Active Data Guard Far Sync inmemory database RMAN backup/recovery failover data masking security and new data types.
- Experience with install patch and maintenance of all Oracle software
- Experience with performance tuning all Oracle instance components including SQL and PL/SQL for application databases.
- Handson Experience in Azure Cloud including VM Storage Network Security Key Vault Backup/Recovery Scripting/Automation and maintaining data standards while adhering to the Data Protection Act
- 5 years experience with troubleshooting problem solving performance tuning infrastructure application and data related issues.
- Experience with Oracle database version upgrade and migration issues
- Proficient in troubleshooting root cause analysis and implementing solutions
- 2 years experience with project planning and execution
- Ability to communicate regularly with project and operational teams.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Proven track record for building strong working relationships.
- A demonstrated team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
- Previous experience working within the public sector would be an asset
