Reporting to the Project Manager the responsibilities of the Senior Project Coordinator include:
- Read technical and administrative project specifications;
- Inspect work daily to ensure that it meets the specified standards;
- Inform Project Manager of project development and discuss methods planned with site management;
- Order critical material with suppliers in collaboration with the Superintendent;
- Perform quantity tracking and cost coding for purposes of productivity analysis and accurate job cost forecasting;
- Perform duties related to the cost control cycle throughout the project execution including tracking budgets and schedules;
- Ensure tracking of hours expenses costs and budget updates;
- Monitor changes and coordination with the project team;
- Record and resolve issues related to project budgets and schedules;
- Tabulate and format information into the client format for submission;
- Ensure the quality of prepared project reports executive summaries and dashboards;
- Perform duties related to document control including formatting documentation and maintaining records according to cloudbased filing system;
- Assist in the preparation of final records for the project including asbuilts;
- Organize and participate in various meetings;
- Establish and keep necessary communications between suppliers subcontractors professionals and client;
- Assist in carrying out a variety of field duties at the job site related to project.
Requirements
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering program or similar or a combination of technical training and/or related experience;
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience;
- Experience in contracting industry (heavy civil preferred);
- Ability to read analyze and interpret technical design drawings;
- Experience with scheduling and planning site activities;
- Excellent command of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite MS Project BlueBeam AutoCAD etc.
- Experience with cost analysis control and reporting;
- Commercial knowledge and experience with contracts is considered an asset;
- Bilingualism (an asset) but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required.
