As a Systems Engineer you will research design develop simulate and/or validate systemslevel software hardware architecture algorithms and solutions that enable the development of cuttingedge technology.
Systems Engineers collaborate across functional teams to meet and exceed systemlevel requirements and standards.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Focus will be on requirement handling and breakdown of stakeholder requirements.
- Perform safety analysis and identify impacts on the system.
- Applies Systems knowledge and experience to research design develop simulate and/or validate systemslevel software hardware architecture algorithms and solutions while ensuring systemlevel requirements and standards are met.
- Performs functional analysis to drive requirements and specifications and to define and align with standards for hardware and software.
- Develops and analyzes systemlevel design including requirements interface definition functional/performance definition and implementation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
- Collaborates with own team and other teams to complete project work including implementing and testing features and verifying the accuracy of systems.
- Develop new and innovative ideas (e.g. IDFs) for a product or feature area.
- Drives triage of problems at the system level to determine root causes and presents results of testing and debugging to team members.
Level of Responsibility:
- Decisionmaking may affect work beyond the immediate work group.
- Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation influence tact etc.
- Customer contact may occur an advantage if you have previous experience with it
- Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g. is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).
- Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning problemsolving and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
Requirements
Masters Degree in Engineering Information Systems Computer Science or related field.
- 4 years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
- 2 years of Automotive systems and associated standards (ISO26262 ISO21434).
- 2 years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
- 1 year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g. Sr. Staff level and above).
