Job Description

The Oligonucleotide Production Technician I will perform tasks associated with the production of modified oligonucleotides in a high throughput time sensitive manufacturing environment in compliance with company procedures and external regulatory requirements. 

This is a 5month contract position.

Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30p.m.

  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment used in manufacturing
  • Perform quantitation normalization and aliquoting of oligonucleotides according to established procedures using Spectrophotometers micropipettes automated Liquid Handlers and other lab equipment
  • Assist with organizational work with the guidance of Lead Supervisor or Manager
  • Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment
  • Initiate support tickets or repair tickets as necessary
  • Able to follow all documented procedures
  • Conscientiously learns requirements of the ISO 9001 quality management system and diligently follows the terms of a quality contract which describes the relevance and importance of the employees work to the achievement of LGCs quality objectives

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree preferred in Life Sciences.
  • 02 years industry experience and/or a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
  • Microsoft Office Outlook Word and Excel. Use of a web browser.
  • Confident working around hazardous chemicals with proper training through the companys EH&S policies.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently as well as on teams
  • Technical proficiency that enables effective execution of documented procedures
