Job Description
The Oligonucleotide Production Technician I will perform tasks associated with the production of modified oligonucleotides in a high throughput time sensitive manufacturing environment in compliance with company procedures and external regulatory requirements.
This is a 5month contract position.
Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30p.m.
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment used in manufacturing
- Perform quantitation normalization and aliquoting of oligonucleotides according to established procedures using Spectrophotometers micropipettes automated Liquid Handlers and other lab equipment
- Assist with organizational work with the guidance of Lead Supervisor or Manager
- Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment
- Initiate support tickets or repair tickets as necessary
- Able to follow all documented procedures
- Conscientiously learns requirements of the ISO 9001 quality management system and diligently follows the terms of a quality contract which describes the relevance and importance of the employees work to the achievement of LGCs quality objectives
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree preferred in Life Sciences.
- 02 years industry experience and/or a combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
- Microsoft Office Outlook Word and Excel. Use of a web browser.
- Confident working around hazardous chemicals with proper training through the companys EH&S policies.
- Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently as well as on teams
- Technical proficiency that enables effective execution of documented procedures
