Job Description
In Room Dining Server
Our guests are always at home at Fairmont Vancouver Airport and their InRoom Dining experience is no exception!
- Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Have full knowledge of all beverage lists
- Deliver food and beverage in a timely and accurate manner
- Pick up orders efficiently from the kitchen
- Check outgoing orders for quality and accuracy of set up
- Have full knowledge of all menu items garnishes contents and preparation methods
- Replenishing of in room refreshment centers
- Follow outlet policies procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Other duties as assigned
This is a temporary 90day position with possibility of transition to permanent employment.
Qualifications :
- Previous Food & Beverage service experience an asset
- Previous Point of Sale System experience preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Must possess and maintain a valid Serving It Right! Certification
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs
- Frequent kneeling pushing pulling lifting
