Job Description
Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer
Location: Temple Texas
Shift: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM with evening and weekend call
Hourly Pay Rate: $27 $37/hour
Shifts per Week: 5
Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week
SignOn Bonus: $10000
Job Overview:
You will perform comprehensive echocardiographic exams on pediatric patients utilizing advanced ultrasound techniques to identify cardiac abnormalities and provide accurate highquality diagnostic results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac anatomy and physiology as well as the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for procedures and obtain relevant clinical history to adapt imaging techniques as needed
- Perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures to obtain accurate diagnostic results
- Identify cardiac abnormalities and modify the scope of exams as necessary
- Assist physicians with transesophageal studies and intraoperative echocardiograms
- Perform daily maintenance of the Echocardiography Lab and report equipment malfunctions
- Serve as a resource for other staff and ensure adherence to quality protocols
- Assist with ICAEL accreditation activities
Key Success Factors:
- Proficient in sonographic principles techniques and instrumentation
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients physicians and other healthcare staff
- Familiarity with infection control procedures and patient privacy laws
- Ability to perform highquality echocardiograms and provide accurate interpretations

Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited program or 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience: Less than 1 year of experience required
- Certifications/License:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Must have one of the following at time of hire:
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
