Hourly Rate: $39.03 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic radiology team. The ideal candidate will perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and adhering to established protocols. This fulltime role offers an 8hour day shift schedule with a requirement for 24hour callback availability. The successful candidate must hold relevant certifications and be prepared to meet registry eligibility requirements within one year of hire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures following approved protocols to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and capture diagnostic images for interpretation.
- Monitor patients conditions and communicate effectively to ensure safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Maintain and operate nuclear medicine equipment ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information.
- Prepare detailed reports of imaging results and ensure proper documentation in the medical record system.
- Participate in a 24hour callback rotation responding to calls within a 60minute timeframe.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment ensuring compliance with infection control radiation safety and health regulations.
Qualifications:
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine or hold certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- If registry eligible upon hire must become registered within one year of employment and maintain certification throughout employment.
- Strong understanding of nuclear medicine equipment and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Previous experience working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
- Must be available for 24hour callback with a 60minute response time.
