Job Description
Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Waco TX
Shift: 12Hour Days 3 Shifts Per Week (36 Hours)
Shift Times: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $33.00 $48.00 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. This role involves performing highquality MRI procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. The MRI Technologist will work three 12hour shifts per week ensuring patient comfort and safety while capturing accurate diagnostic images. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI procedures in a timely and efficient manner following established exam protocols
- Use effective communication skills to explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort
- Prepare patients for MRI exams ensuring correct positioning and the use of appropriate safety measures
- Follow all safety protocols to protect patients and staff from exposure to radiation and other hazards
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of MRI equipment and work areas
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure highquality patient care
- Keep accurate medical imaging records and manage patient information according to department policies
- Participate in oncall duties if required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (H.S. Diploma/GED)
- Less than 1 year of experience in MRI technology
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRTMR) or Radiography (ARRTR) or certification by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
