Job Description

Job Title: Nurse Manager Med/Surg

Location: Fort Worth Texas

Shift: 12Hour Days (7:00 AM 7:00 PM)

Shifts Per Week: 3

Scheduled Hours: 36

Salary: $75750 $113625 annually

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager for Med Surg Unit. The Nurse Manager will report to the Director of Progressive Care and will be responsible for managing the daytoday operations of the Neurosurgical Medical Surgical department. The role requires strong leadership skills and accountability to ensure highquality care and the smooth operation of the unit. The Manager will share 24hour accountability and oversee the departments compliance with internal and external regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure quality of care by adhering to departmental policies and external regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Oversee operational and capital budget goals ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Perform hourly rounding and promptly respond to patient requests ensuring patient needs are proactively met.
  • Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hygiene safety protocols and isolation procedures.
  • Assist in the orientation of new employees and support ongoing staff development.
  • Maintain accountability for patient care quality department productivity and staff performance.
  • Lead the unit to achieve the highest standards of care and staff collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 35 years of recent acute care leadership experience in an ICU or Neurological unit.
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current clinical practice in the field of expertise.
  • RN license in the State of Texas or a Compact State if applicable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
