Job Description
Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist
Location: Rowlett TX
Shift: 10Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM 5:00 PM) 4 Shifts Per Week (40 Hours Total)
Salary Range: $33 $48 per hour based on experience
SignOn Bonus: $10000
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. In this role you will assist physicians with various cardiac procedures including catheterizations pacemaker implantations and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy advanced imaging techniques and a commitment to patient care. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians with arteriograms catheterizations pacemaker implantations defibrillators and other diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Adhere to national and state radiation protection regulations to ensure patient self and staff safety
- Provide pre and postprocedure care including monitoring vital signs ECGs and notifying physicians of any abnormalities
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields for cardiac procedures
- Operate and maintain complex cardiac imaging and diagnostic equipment ensuring proper calibration and functionality
- Manage and process images including formatting and reviewing data for both cardiac and peripheral cases
- Ensure procedure rooms are adequately stocked and maintain inventory of necessary supplies
- Participate in quality control governance initiatives and training of new staff and students as needed
- Provide oncall response as required including rotating weekends and holidays
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in a related field or 2 years of related cardiovascular lab experience
- Less than 1 year of experience in a related field (new graduates are welcome to apply)
- Must hold one of the following certifications:
- ARRTR (Radiography)
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
- RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
- CEPS (Certified Electrophysiology Specialist)
- CCDS (Certified Cardiac Device Specialist)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 30 days of hire)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within 30 days of hire)
