Job Title: RN Manager Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Fort Walton Beach FL
Shift: Variable Shifts
Shift Duration: 12 Hours
Shifts per Week: 3
Scheduled Hours: 36 per week
Maximum Bill Rate: $105000
Minimum Bill Rate: $95000
Job Overview:
The ICU Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and staffing of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This position ensures that highquality patientcentered care is provided and holds staff accountable for clinical outcomes and adherence to established policies and procedures. The ICU Manager supports the facilitys objectives by fostering a culture of accountability patient safety and efficiency within the ICU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operationalize evidencebased practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing care to ensure standards of care are met.
- Manage admissions discharges and throughput to ensure patientcentered care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective care coordination.
- Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement and maintain a positive work environment.
- Manage staff scheduling and maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
- Oversee operating expenses and identify costsaving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Provide mentorship guidance and professional development to nursing staff.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 years of recent acute care leadership experience as a Charge RN Supervisor or Manager in Critical Care (relief charge experience does not qualify).
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelors preferred).
- Licensure: Must hold a valid Florida RN license.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required upon hire.
