Job Description
Job Title: Physical Therapist
Location: Avalon California
Salary: $118500.00 to $145600.00
Shift Information: MF 85 with few exceptions
Position Purpose:
This role is responsible for providing comprehensive physical therapy services including evaluation treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an acute care setting. The professional will work with a variety of patients across all age groups to improve their mobility and manage pain as part of the comprehensive care team.
Essential Functions:
- Patient Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments to determine physical condition and establish treatment plans.
- Treatment Implementation: Execute treatment plans that include manual exercises modalities and patient education to enhance recovery.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of patient progress and consult with healthcare providers on patient needs and treatment adjustments.
- Quality Control: Participate in quality improvement measures within the physical therapy department.
- Equipment Management: Responsible for the care and maintenance of physical therapy equipment.
- Knowledge and Skills: Must have a firm understanding of physical therapy modalities and patient care techniques.
- Abilities: Should be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Education and Certification:
- Must have graduated from an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
- Required to hold a valid state license for Physical Therapy.
Experience:
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in physical therapy with acute care or outpatient care experience beneficial.
