This role offers a unique opportunity to develop advanced expertise in urologic and gynecologic procedures while making a meaningful impact on patients lives.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Training & Development
Receive handson training in Urology and Gynecology procedures including endometrial biopsy colposcopy and other diagnostic techniques.
Build expertise in outpatient care for urologic and gynecologic conditions under the guidance of experienced physicians and a collaborative care team.
Patient Care
Perform comprehensive evaluations including historytaking physical exams and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Diagnose and manage urologic conditions such as urinary tract infections (UTIs) overactive bladder (OAB) kidney stones and urinary retention.
Support preoperative and postoperative care for urologic and gynecologic procedures.
Procedures & Diagnostics
Conduct or assist with specialized urologic procedures including:
Urodynamic testing and bladder function assessments.
Catheter management including suprapubic catheter care.
Intravesical instillations for interstitial cystitis or bladder cancer (per state regulations).
Bladder ultrasound imaging and other diagnostic tools.
Train in gynecologic procedures such as endometrial biopsy and colposcopy for cervical evaluation.
Patient Education & Management
Provide personalized education on urologic and gynecologic health lifestyle modifications and preventive care strategies.
Counsel patients on bladder training and techniques to prevent recurrent conditions.
Collaboration & Teamwork
Work closely with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary setting to deliver patientcentered care.
Participate in case discussions quality improvement initiatives and teambased care planning.
What You Bring
Education
Masters degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Certification & Licensure
Certified Physician Assistant (PAC) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with active unrestricted licensure in Michigan.
