Job Description
Job Title: Business Intelligence Data Analyst 1
Location: Sunnyvale CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 1 Year
Primary Function of Position:
The Data Analyst will be a member of the RA/QA Quality Data Analytics team and use technical expertise combined with an understanding of business needs to turn data into actionable insights. The role includes supporting RA/QA business needs for data requests dashboard creation and maintenance and project support. The position also involves validating data reports and related processes and procedures. The ideal candidate will be capable of exploring and joining sources of data and interfacing directly with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Snowflake along with data visualization tools like Tableau.

Responsibilities:
- Perform verification on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity.
- Write test plans to ensure proper test coverage and perform riskbased regression testing.
- Create test cases test plans test scripts and other test documents based on business requirements.
- Assist in the development and validation of data analysis reports conforming to software Verification and Validation (V&V) requirements to support RA/QA business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with RA/QA business stakeholders process specialists and users to support data needs.
- Define and document business requirements for new metrics and reports in partnership with departmental teams.
- Maintain and update dashboards and metrics escalating issues as needed.
- Conduct indepth analyses of available datasets to provide insights on product quality performance.
- Develop user documentation and create visual representations of data analysis ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor and refine reports and analytical solutions on an ongoing basis.
- Partner with architecture and solution delivery teams to enable reports with longterm value.
- Provide validation review and support as required.
- Perform functional regression and usability testing for new and existing datasets reports and dashboards.
- Document and summarize test results and findings.
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Statistics Mathematics Computer Science or equivalent combination of work and certification experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in data analytics.
- Programming experience for data exploration and presentation.
- Proficiency in Python Microsoft SQL and Snowflake or equivalent tools.
- Experience with data querying analysis and visualization software like Tableau (preferred).
- Highly organized with strong prioritization skills.
- Creative problemsolving ability with a variety of approaches to issues.
- Strong work ethic and enthusiasm for problemsolving and data analysis.
- Exceptional ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent writing and documentation skills to ensure analyses can be reproduced reliably.
- Medical device pharmaceutical aerospace/defense or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of medical device RA/QA departmental functions.
