The Role: We are seeking a Paediatric Provisional Registrar who will work alongside the Advance Trainee Registrar and form part of the senior team with the Junior Medical Staff within a clinical team. The primary function of this role is the provision of care for patients and families at a level of skill and autonomy consistent with training in Paediatrics.
Base annual salary before allowances $125,900.84 to $173,290.00 Dependant on years of service - Ready access to Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide via direct flights from the regional airport

The Successful Provisional Registrar will:- Provide high quality comprehensive medical care to neonates and paediatric inpatients, including those with complex problems
- Provide appropriate advice and support to GP s doctors in ED and other health professionals regarding paediatric patients, supervised by the Paediatricians
- Be actively involved in the education and training of junior staff and other health professionals regarding paediatric issues
- Conduct clinics in the Specialist Clinic for patients including general paediatric, endocrine disorders and behavioural disorders.
With a new 8 bed paediatric ward currently in development, neonatal and paediatric beds will increase, staffed by 5 Paediatricians, 3 Advanced Trainees and 4 HMO's.
The Hospital is affiliated with Monash University, it provides Level 4 maternity and neonatal, with around 900 births per annum. Recently transitioning to public management, the hospital is enjoying a clinical renaissance.
The Hospital: 172 bed, modern facility, and tertiary teaching hospital. The hospital assists a catchment population of up to 100,000 and provides several Acute Services including Emergency, General Medicine and Surgery, Intensive Care, Mental Health and Paediatrics.

To be successful in this role, you will have:- AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Advanced of Basic Paediatric Life Support or EMST certification and DHHS Child Protection Training would be advantageous
