Nofence is a Norwegian scale up which has built the worlds first virtual fencing solution for livestock. As we aim to revolutionise livestock management we will need topnotch competence in our Product team and we are now looking for a Senior User Experience Designer. About the role
The main responsibilities for this role will be:
- App UX & Interaction design: As a member of the Feature team you will be leading the UX efforts for our main product which means you will be working closely with the PM of the team as well collaborating with UX colleagues working on this crucial product.
- Interaction Design: Drive the creation of engaging and intuitive interfaces focusing on optimising user interaction and satisfaction.
- Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with UX researchers product managers and developers to tackle complex design challenges ensuring solutions are feasible and align with user needs.
- UserCentred Design: Champion a usercentred design approach guiding the team through user research ideation prototyping and testing.
- CrossDepartmental Facilitation: Act as a liaison between the UX team and other departments facilitating collaboration and ensuring design considerations are integrated throughout the product development process.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate design decisions and user insights to stakeholders ensuring a shared understanding and buyin for design directions.
- Service design way of thinking to all products and services we touch in the company.
About you
The right candidate is preferred to have the following qualifications:
- Relevant degree/diploma/certificate in Design HCI or equivalent.
- Proven experience in interaction design with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on digital products.
- Exceptional design skills with a deep understanding of usercentred design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma is a must.
- Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to partake in workshops and design sprints that drive collaboration and innovation.
- A minimum of 5years of experience in design with a track record of successfully delivered projects.
- Fluent English oral and written communication skills. Our working language is English.

Managing livestock has always been a challenge. Humanity has tried everything from herding with dogs to walling the animals in with barbed wire electric and wooden fences but these are costly and timeconsuming solutions and often in conflict with the local wildlife. It has also left vast areas of potential pasture overgrown and underutilized.

As a company still in our early stages our way of working is continuously evolving and you will have the opportunity to make an impact on how we do things. We are passionate about product development animal welfare farmer welfare and sustainable agriculture. We genuinely believe our grazing technology is the biggest technological change in agriculture since the tractor!
So far our clients have used Nofence in a range of creative ways including regenerative cattle farming conservation grazing with goats regenerative grazing with sheep and even government work! Yet we have only just scratched the surface and already have 250 million hours of operation on animals with recorded behaviour data to explore.
