Job Description
Our client requires the services of a Software Engineer (Senior) Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Relevant degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Business Management or a related field or similar qualification.
- Relevant Work Experience at an SAP customer or SAP consultancy
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- At least 6 years experience in SAP Development and Operations
- Knowledge of programming paradigms such as OO Functional Programming Clean Code
- Enthusiasm for high quality software development and the ability to guide others.
- Ability to identify problems and proactively solve them without external guidance.
- A mindset that allows to define and develop unique generic and longlasting solutions
- Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS
- Experience in SAP UI5 & FIORI Development
- Experience with cloud solutions such as ABAP Cloud or SAP BTP
- Experience in SAP basis tasks like release upgrades notes job scheduling archiving TMS
- Knowledge of tools for custom code management such as ATC CCLM CHARM ABAPGIT
- Understanding in integration technology such as ODATA REST ALE SOAP RFC
- Ability to deliver in incident situation and under pressure
- Willingness to work as part of big international teams
- Accurate communication skills and technical jargon
- Agile working experience
- Abstract thinking
ROLE:
- Monitoring of multiple SAP landscapes in terms of availability performance security and software quality
- Analysis and fixing of all kinds of incidents such as performance security functional availability.
- Support of system maintenance activities such as release upgrades migration system copy
- Development and operation of generic solutions for data capturing transfer and storage
- Documentation of these solutions and presentation to larger audiences
- Definition and enforcement of development guidelines and configuration of tools for that purpose
- Software Testing (manual as well as automated such as Unit Testing CBTA or Tosca)
