Job Description

Position Name: Occupational Therapist Home Health

Location: Columbus OH 43206

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Fulltime Travel Contract Temporary

Contract Length: 13 weeks contract Accepting Local and Travel Candidates

Pay Rate: Range $2520 to $2600 Weekly Gross pay (Nontaxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Unit: Home Health

Shift: 8 Hours; Days 8.00a 5.00p

Schedule: 40 hours / week guaranteed 5 shifts per week MonFri No weekends or Call

Position Requirements:

  • Current OT experience in an acute care or rehab setting: 1 2 years Required
  • Recent/Current Home Health experience: Highly preferred
  • Home Care Home Base (HCHB) charting experience Preferred
  • Must be Covid Vaccinated or provide medical or religious exemption

Education License and Certification Requirements:

  • Current State License as Occupational Therapist or Compact if applicable Required
  • BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross Required

Job Description:

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy as ordered by the attending physician.
  • Observe record and report patient reactions changes and progress to the attending physician and appropriate agency staff.
  • Develop an individualized OT plan of care and adjust as needed.
  • Evaluate the patients level of functioning using diagnostic and prognostic procedures.
  • Use activities and home exercise programs to improve range of motion muscle strength and coordination.
  • Counsel patients and families on disease/injury management and preventative measures.
  • Instruct patients and family members on the proper use of medical equipment.
  • Oversee and supervise the total care of patients provided by COTA.
  • Complete all clinical documentation following agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.
  • Attend inservice training and mandatory agency meetings.
  • Territories to cover: Columbus OH and surrounding areas
