Payrate: $38 $42 per hour
Contract Length: 13week contract.

Job Description
The Credentialing and Privileging Specialist is responsible for completing credentialing privileging enrollment proctorship and orientation activities for the Medical Staff and other providers. The role also includes acting as a recording secretary for applicable department meetings as well as planning coordinating and providing support to staff as needed.
Essential Functions:
Process new and reappointment applications including:
Board certifications state licenses credentials verification exclusion checks etc.
Support the credentialing and privileging process alongside the Medical Staff Coordinator.
Communicate information and requests to the VPMA Medical Staff Coordinator and other department staff.
Compose correspondence memos and reports professionally and accurately.
Coordinate orientation and proctorship for new physicians and practitioners with privileges.
Monitor maintain and report expiration dates for physician and practitioner licenses insurance DEA numbers TB test results and other required items.
Prepare agendas and record/transcribe minutes for medical staff department meetings committee meetings and Executive Council meetings.
Apply for and maintain Federal State and other thirdparty payer professional provider numbers for employed or contracted providers.
Oversee and maintain the provider enrollment database ensuring task management and communication.
Complete enrollment reenrollment and change applications accurately and on time.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required: None
Education
Required: High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies
Preferred: Associates Degree in Healthcare

Shift Times: Monday Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

RTO Approval: Manager approval required
Orientation Period: Minimum 2 weeks
