About the Opportunity:

FedTec is looking to hire an Assistant Project Manager to support the renovation to replace all of the major building systems (e.g. mechanical electrical plumbing) remove asbestos and other hazardous materials comply with current building codes and create an additional 100000 SF of workspace all while remaining an active workplace.

Position: Assistant Project Manager

Work Location: OnSite

Work Schedule: 24hrs/wk Flexible Schedule as per Needs

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Project Manager in construction project management overseeing project implementation with a focus on quality assurance cost analysis cost estimates and schedule. Experience should cover:
    • Assessment and resolution of technical and construction issues
    • Development of cost estimates for assigned projects
    • Management of contractors submittals requests for information and project quality assurance
    • Preparation and review of change proposals and change orders to support negotiation and determining fair and reasonable costs
    • Reviewing project budgets and construction schedules
    • Reviewing plans specifications and shop drawings
    • Contribute to the project within the design review phase to include field investigations reviewing drawings/specifications to meet industry and federal design standards.
    • Contribute to the construction phase of a project to include onsite field walks checking features of work investigating possible changes/modifications verifying that construction is consistent with design verify contractors quality control system is working safety inspections attending some onsite meetings.
    • Preparation of project status budget and schedule presentations

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in construction management including at least 2 years in a project manager role.
  • Bachelors degree in architecture engineering construction management or a related field from an accredited college or university.
