Job Description
Summary: St. Catherine Hospital is looking for a Family Medicine OB for coverage for the dates detailed below at their Garden City facility.
RATES:
Malpractice Must be included in rates.
Holiday Must be 1.5x the hourly rate. Per holiday hour no OT

- By law the Kansas Board of Healing Arts requires certain health care providers (chiropractors nurse anesthetists nurse midwives physicians physician assistants and podiatrists) who obtain medical licenses to practice in the state of Kansas to be enrolled in the KS Health Care Stabilization Fund as part of the issuance of an active KS medical license. The KS Health Care Stabilization Fund (HCSF) requires that the primary layer of professional liability insurance coverage must be provided through a qualified admitted carrier

Details:
- 7a7a 24 hour shifts
- Duration: Stretches of at least 7 days/month
- Assignment: Physician working in clinic during the week seeing ob/gyn patients for new obstetrics established obstetrics new gynecology issues and surgical consultations. Surgical blocks are twice per week for nonemergent surgeries. Call is 24 hour shifts from 7 am to 7 am and includes all obstetrics as well as emergency gynecology and obstetric cases.

- Setting: Clinic and Inpatient Call
- FTE: 0
- Required Procedures/Job Duties: All ob/gyn procedures including more than 5 csection in last 24 months & more than 5 hysterectomies in last 24 months. FMOBs 100 CSections and 50 Deliveries minimum.
- EMR: EPIC
- Support Staff: Lab Tech LPN/LVN MA Xray Tech RN
- Physicians working with CRNAs and midwives
- Reason for Coverage: Gaps in coverage
- Dealbreakers: Will NOT consider candidates wishing to do clinic only!
EMR Required Training:
- Module (learn lessons) Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training to attend the training.
- EMR Virtual training Only able to attend if Modules are completed before training. Virtual training must be completed before the provider s first day and is only available MonFri for scheduling.
Travel Preferences:
- Preferred Lodging: Hotel must be within 15 minutes of the hospital
- Air Travel: Acceptable
Credentialing Information:
- Timeframe: payor credentialing 60 days from state license issue
- Credentialing with other facilities No

- Census: Patient population Adult Adolescent; Number of beds 10; Admissions Clinic 1625; inpatient 36
- Additional Info: NICU available staffed with neonatal nurse practitioner with teleneonatologist backup.
- Facility has backup with skilled general surgeons & urologist
- St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City also has critical care physicians and cardiologists.
- Do you know how many births each facilities does approximately each year 50 births a year.
- As well as what NICU level each facility has NICU level 2 for Garden only
Requirement description :
- Board Certification FMOB Required or Truly Board Eligible (05 years of residency completion)
- Active KS License Highly Preferred open to willing to obtain license.
- Active BLS Required for credentialing
- Active DEA Required for credentialing (site will consider a transferred DEA however must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment not just for shifts worked.)
- Must acknowledge candidate understands the EMR training requirements set forth in job description and will complete in this order to avoid missing their start date Required
- Clean Malpractice HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Procedure Logs Required at presentation providers who do not include the case logs at time of presentation will not be presented to the site past 24 months for FMOB: Must include a minimum of 50 Csections 50 vaginal (with at least 20 each in the last 12 months)
