Job Description

General job duties. Types of procedures required. Scrub for Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgical cases Procedures would include Coronary Artery Bypass Graft with Cardio pulmonary bypass Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement Aortic Valve Reapir/Replacement Open Ascending Aortic Repair Thoracotomy for Lung proceduresLobectomy Pneumonectomy Thoracoscopyfor Lung procedures Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting medication systems etc.) We will train as needed. Required skills and minimum years of experience. 3 years cardiovascular surgical tech experience preferred. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT CRT BLS ACLS etc) Certified tech preferred but not mandatory based on experience. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone Is call required If so how often Are Floating to over units/departments. (If so to which units/departments) May need to float to Main ORs if case volume fluctuates. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 5 CV ORs and 30 Main ORs. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) NA Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Team specific orientation is based on individual need. 2 advanced techs will assist with training.

Comments:Looking for a Surgical Tech with experience with the following procedures: Coronary Artery Bypass Graft with Cardio pulmonary bypass Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement Aortic Valve Reapir/Replacement Open Ascending Aortic Repair Thoracotomy for Lung proceduresLobectomy Pneumonectomy Thoracoscopyfor Lung procedures Schedule is in 4 week increments. For a 4week schedule this would be the requirements: call shifts required23 call shifts for weekdays per 4 week schedule. Weekends are required. Every 4th weekend. 10 hour shifts are idealmajority of shifts begin atam. In a 4week schedule would also work 23 shifts starting at 0830. Willing to take a local candidate!
