Rapid Evaluation unit. General job duties. Types of procedures required. Mostly Observation patients such as Chest PainsAbdominal Pains.HysterectomiesKnee scopesAdult tonsillectomiesappy sherniasInfusion patients that need blood or antibiotics twice a day.Will get inpatients if we know they will be discharged in less than 48 hours.High turnover of patients daily such as 12 admissions and 10 dischages in 12 hours so need to be very organized. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. We use EPIC EMRAcudose for Narcotic dispensing.Scanning of medication Required skills and minimum years of experience. Taking care of Pre and Post op patients (Observation type).IV startsDressing Changes and normal nursing skills IV sFoley s etc. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. Active ND or Compact RN license; BLS Shift or schedule requirements. 12 Hour shifts both D/N and every other weekend and every other Holiday.Hours of operation ( 6A6:30P and 6P6:30A) Will never work alone and we usually never put on call. Floating to other units/departments. May float to other MedSurg areas but will go into the same rotation for floating as the permanent staff. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 24 beds Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. 1:5 RN to Patient ratio 24/7 Dress Code: All dark Navy Blue Scrubs Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Usually will have 23 12 shifts with a preceptor.Also will get classroom training for the charting system also. |
Comments:Every other weekend and every other holiday. Location will not consider local candidates (80 miles away or less from the facility)
