Job Description
Job Responsibilities R&D Personnel:
Synthesis and Development:
- Design and develop synthetic routes for new and existing APIs.
- Conduct literature reviews to identify and evaluate potential synthetic pathways.
- Perform multistep organic synthesis purification and characterization of target compounds.
- Optimize reaction conditions and improve overall yield and purity of products.
Process Optimization and ScaleUp:
- Develop scalable and costeffective processes for API production.
- Collaborate with process engineers to ensure smooth technology transfer from lab to pilot and production scales.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to synthesis and scaleup processes.
Analytical and Characterization Techniques:
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques (HPLC NMR MS etc.) to monitor reactions and characterize synthesized compounds.
- Interpret and analyze data to ensure quality and consistency of API products.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments processes and results.
- Prepare technical reports SOPs and regulatory documentation as required.
- Ensure compliance with GMP GLP and other relevant regulatory standards.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams including formulation scientists analytical chemists and quality control.
- Present findings and progress updates to stakeholders and team members.
- Stay current with advancements in organic chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences through continuous learning and professional development.
Expectations
- Conduct Experiments: Perform research and development experiments to develop new product process technologies.
- Product Improvement & Troubleshooting: Carry out R&D experiments to improve and troubleshoot both existing and new products.
- Literature Review & Experimental Design: Review relevant literature and design experiments aimed at product development.
- SOP Compliance: Ensure compliance with departmental and crossdepartmental SOPs to meet regulatory requirements.
- Training: Provide training to contract workers on routine housekeeping and cleaning within the department.
- Data Compilation & Analysis: Regularly compile experimental data and discuss trial results with superiors to plan further developments.
- Inventory Management: Maintain chemical and stationery stock necessary for routine work in the R&D department.
- ScaleUp & Validation: Conduct scaleup and validation batches at the pilot plant for new products.
- Technology Transfer: Prepare technology transfer documents for transitioning new products from R&D to the pilot plant.
