Position Summary:
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to seamlessly integrate English language development into all areas of instruction.
- Deliver tailored lessons in both individual and small group settings to address the specific needs of ELL students.
- Cultivate an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and encouraged to succeed.
- Set clear behavioral expectations to maintain a secure and productive learning space.
- Monitor student progress consistently and refine teaching methods to promote continuous achievement.
- Develop and implement engaging lessons for ELL students adhering to school and state educational standards.
Requirements
- Valid Illinois PEL with ESL endorsement.
- Experience as an ESL Teacher or in a related teaching role.
- Prior experience working with students from diverse language and cultural backgrounds.
- At least a bachelor s degree from an accredited institution is required. A Master s degree in TESOL or a related field is highly preferred.
