Job Description
Special Education Teacher
Company: Clarifi Staffing Solutions
Job Type: FullTime
Location: Alsip IL
The Special Education Teacher will design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address the unique learning needs of students in a selfcontained classroom. This role requires a collaborative professional who can partner with parents caregivers and staff to create comprehensive educational approaches that meet each students distinct challenges.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Establishing a classroom environment that is safe welcoming and promotes active engagement.
- Adapting and delivering lesson plans to align with each student s specific learning objectives.
- Providing instruction in core academic areas as well as fostering development in social and practical life skills.
- Maintaining positive classroom behavior through the use of proactive support strategies.
- Building strong communication channels with parents and caregivers to share progress and goals.
- Continuously tracking student growth maintaining detailed records and refining instructional techniques to enhance outcomes.
Requirements
Candidates must have proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or in a related role with specific expertise in managing early childhood caseloads. A bachelor s degree from an accredited university is required though a master s degree is preferred. Applicants must hold an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a special education (LSB1) endorsement as no other certifications will be accepted at this time. The position requires availability to work up to 37.5 hours per week.
