Partner Staffing is currently working with our client to find a Mechanical Designer based out of their Calgary Alberta office. Our client is a rapidly growing Mechanical and Electrical consulting firm. They are proud of their adaptability accountability and creativity. Missiondriven and have an unwavering commitment to provide creative detailed and coordinated design solutions to their clients in Canada and across North America.
Design and drafting of H.V.A.C systems plumbing and drainage in AutoCAD and Revit; Assist Project Managers to meet clients deliverables; Coordinate with the design team. MultiFamily experience preferred.
Requirements
- Strong AutoCAD and Revit Skills
- Heating and cooling load calculations using HAP tools or similar
- Ability to size mechanical systems and select equipment
- Ability to review interpret and apply building codes in different jurisdictions
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Thrive in a fastpaced working environment
- Ability to identify potential risks and report them to the PMs
- Mixed Use MultiFamily experience would be an asset
- 4 7 years working experience in the building industry with extensive Revit and AutoCAD experience
- A Technical diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or other related fields
- C.E.T. designation

- To deliver creative detailed and coordinated design solutions on budget and on time.
- Assist Project Manager and team members to ensure projects stay on schedule and budget.

Responsibilities: The Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: Attend site meetings Serve as main point of contact for the builder for any project-related questions/requests Understand project specifications and objectives Proactively identify potential issues Report on milestone dates and deliverables Respond to field issues and questions with engineering and other resources as required Investigate claims promptly and resolve them fairly Proactive approach to change orders Support and engage in a collaborative work environment Liaise with Architect, Client, Contractor, Owner, Specialty Consultants, Project Manager, Job Captain and Project Engineer Complete time critical reports including Request for Information, Contemplated Revisions, Change Orders, Field Review, Pricing Review, Progress Claim Review Issue and sign off on Site Deficiency Reports, verify and accept As Built Drawings and Operational and Maintenance Manuals and ensure all require
