partner staffing on behalf of our Client we are seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Project Scheduling and Cost Controller to join their team in Calgary. This role is critical to ensuring the success of our projects through accurate scheduling budget management and cost control. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in project planning monitoring and reporting as well as a strong ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop maintain and monitor detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 and SAP
- Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts ensuring critical milestones are met.
- Regularly update and communicate schedule changes to project stakeholders.
- Perform schedule risk analysis and propose mitigations to address delays or deviations.
- Establish and maintain project cost baselines budgets and forecasts.
- Track and report project expenditures ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
- Identify cost variances and provide recommendations to mitigate overspending.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to manage contracts and invoices.
- Prepare and deliver regular progress reports including Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
- Communicate project performance insights to project managers stakeholders and executives.
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly project financial summaries.
- Work closely with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of schedules and budgets.
- Identify risks and opportunities affecting project timelines and costs.
- Implement change management processes to handle project scope modifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering Construction Management Business or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in project scheduling cost control or project management preferably in energy construction or infrastructure sectors.
- Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 ans SAP.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling and analysis.
